UPDATE: Police are now saying the death is not being treated as suspicious.

Updated, 9.59pm

PEACHES GELDOF has died at the age of 25.

The mother of two, daughter of Bob Geldof and Paula Yates, was found dead at her home in southeast England this afternoon.

“We are beyond pain,” Bob Geldof said in a statement. “She was the wildest, funniest, cleverest, wittiest and the most bonkers of all of us.”

Police have said that the death was “unexplained and sudden.” Geldof was pronounced dead this afternoon after officers were called to her home outside Wrotham, Kent.

It is now understood that the death is being treated as non-suspicious. A later police statement added:

Officers are working to establish the circumstances around the death. The local coroner has been informed and a post-mortem is expected to be carried out in the next few days.

Sky News reports that police were called to the house at 1.35pm following a report of concern for the welfare of a woman.

In an emotional statement, Bob Geldof continued:

She was the wildest, funniest, cleverest, wittiest and the most bonkers of all of us.Writing ‘was’ destroys me afresh. What a beautiful child. How is this possible that we will not see her again? How is that bearable?

Peaches Geldof’s husband Thomas Cohen – the father of her two sons Astala and Phaedra – has also released a statement, saying:

My beloved wife Peaches was adored by myself and her two sons, I shall bring them up with their mother in their hearts everyday. We shall love her forever.

Geldof was a prolific social media user. Her last tweet, posted yesterday afternoon, was a photograph of her as a young girl with her mother.
