FRIENDS AND FAMILY gathered at a church in Kent, south-east England today for the funeral of 25-year-old Peaches Geldof.
It was the same church in which she married her husband, Tom Cohen, just two years ago.
A hearse drew Geldof’s coffin past the assembled mourners and media. It was decorated by a simple portrait showing Geldof and Cohen, their sons Astala and Phaedra and the family’s two dogs and a cat.
Peaches Geldof was found dead at her home in Kent on April 7, leaving her husband and two children aged 23 months and 11 months.
Police have described her death as “non-suspicious” but “unexplained”. A post-mortem failed to establish a cause of death and toxicology tests are being carried out.
Among those who arrived to pay their respects to the family were well-known figures including BBC DJ Nick Grimshaw, Duchess of York Sarah Ferguson and Rolling Stone Bill Wyman.
