PENNEYS HAVE BEEN hitting it out of the park in recent months with their cosmetics launches.
In a lot of areas, they’ve succeeded in producing decent duplicates of more pricey products, like their single eyeshadows and their much-sought after highlighter kits.
Their latest addition to their line – PS… Liquid Fix – should be of interest to most makeup fans.
Now, you’re probably already familar with another fixing fluid known as Duraline (€12), by Inglot.
Duraline is “a waterless clear liquid that can intensify the colour of any powder and transform it into an easy to apply, water resistant liquid.” Many use it to sharpen up gel liner, eyebrows or in conjuction with a pigment or shadow to create a liquid liner.
It’s the bees knees.
The Penneys Liquid Fix offers to do pretty much the same job, but what’s it actually like?
DailyEdge.ie haven’t gotten a chance to use it yet, but makeup artist Sandra Gillen has.
“It doesn’t have the same consistency as Duraline, more of a watery texture! I’m on the fence, haven’t put it to the test just yet, the fluid baffled me!”
Intriguing.
Fellow makeup artist Debbie T found it worked really well when mixed with pigments.
I found the consistency very watery also, I just needed less and mixed it very well. I found it worked really well to intensify the pigments. It just takes some getting used too as I’d be used to Duraline and it’s thicker consistency.”
Very intriguing.
Liquid Fix will set you back €3 – let us know if you’ve tried it!
