Pensioners charged with harassment for blasting Iron Maiden tunes

Bring your granny to the slaughter.

AN ELDERLY COUPLE in Sweden have been charged with harassment after they subjected their neighbours to ear-splitting Iron Maiden tunes.

The retired pair – an 81-year-old man and his 71-year-old wife –  said they were retaliating after their new neighbour in Stockholm turned out to be a bit too loud.

Their response was to target the new resident by blaring Iron Maiden tunes until 4am for five months.

According to Swedish paper Aftonbladet the pair have been accused with intentionally interfering with the new neighbour, who says he is “totally devastated”.

He said he has tried to mediate with the couple but to no avail, and that another neighbour has also failed to find a solution.

Police were forced to break the door down a few months ago when the strains of Afraid to Shoot Strangers became too much for the new resident. They found that a stereo system had been set up facing his bedroom wall.

UPI reports that the elderly woman said she had to take sleeping pills in order to get any rest since the new neighbour moved in. It’s reported that there were ‘howling sounds’ coming from his house.
