AS YOU PROBABLY know, stand-up comedian Louis C.K. was the subject of numerous allegations in November 2017, when at least five women recounted incidents during the late 90s and early 2000s where C.K. reportedly asked them to watch him masturbate, or forced them to do so.
This all unfolded during the early days of the #MeToo movement, and it resulted in Louis C.K. essentially taking a long holiday, before returning to comedy in September 2018. This was met with a very mixed response, as it delighted of many of C.K.’s fans who didn’t care about the allegations because he’s funny! Do what you want, as long as you label it comedy! Regardless of whether it’s actually funny or not!
Naturally, there were plenty of people who were extremely pissed off at the news that Louis C.K. was able to just stroll back into the comedy world as if nothing had happened.
Whoops!

Once the news of his comeback blew over, it didn’t take long for Louis to put his foot in it again, when he made jokes about the survivors of the Parkland school shooting on Valentine’s Day 2017, a mass shooting which resulted in the murder of 17 school children.
Fred Guttenberg, who lost his daughter in the Parkland shooting, which his son survived, wrote on Twitter:
It seems as though Louis has accepted that the only people who will still consume his “comedy” in this day and age are the type of people who want to see Katie Hopkins canonized some day, and he is writing his jokes accordingly.
On New Year’s Eve, Pete Davidson returned to the stand-up stage for the first time since he uploaded a troubling Instagram post.
Many of Pete’s followers were concerned after he wrote, “I’m doing my best to stay here for you but I actually don’t know how much longer I can last.” Pete’s friends began to publicly reach out to him, and just before Christmas, rapper Machine Gun Kelly flew out to New York to hang out with Pete and make sure he was doing okay.
In his first public performance since that Instagram post, Davidson took aim at Louis C.K., telling a story about how Louis had previously tried to get Pete fired when he started working on Saturday Night Live. Pete said:
Louise then told producer Lorne Michaels that Pete Davidson, “smokes so much weed that it makes people uncomfortable.”
Davidson then made another joke:
