Speaking to Stephen Colbert this week, the Game of Thrones actor revealed that he often played the part of Anastasia Steele while running lines with Jamie Dornan.

We know; we’re struggling here too.

So, Peter and Jamie starred opposite each other in My Dinner with Hervé, and when Jamie was called for re-shoots on Fifty Shades Freed, he often prepared for his role as Christian Grey with the help of Peter.

Naturally Stephen needed a few more details on this one, so Peter filled him in.

I read some of the screenplay in our dressing room and he had to do some reshoots for Fifty Shades and I would help him out, learning lines.

Go on, Peter.

I would read the Dakota Johnson part. I was just helping a friend learn lines! I nailed it, I really did.

“I think that’s one of the lines,” Stephen quipped.
