People are emotional about the tiny comet lander finally waking up from its nap
TODAY THE PHILAE Lander, the spaceship dispatched to land on the surface of Comet 67P last November, woke up.
At around midday an account linked to the craft tweeted:
Philae Lander had gone quiet months back after its 60 hours of solar power ran out.
Now its increased proximity to the sun means that it’s back in action.
It’s been in touch with its mothership the Rosetta Mission, and they’ve been exchanging some strangely touching tweets, for inanimate objects.
It being Sunday, with the fear setting in, people are not able
