Phillip Schofield said it'll be a miracle if Gemma Collins even shows up for the first episode of Dancing on Ice ...it's The Dredge

Some more post Christmas dirt.

Chrissy Teigen watched Bird Box on Netflix and let Twitter know that she was absolutely shitting it.

Sandra Bullock’s new horror flick was released on Netflix this week, and was met with some mixed reviews. Plenty of viewers were underwhelmed, while others couldn’t believe that after all the hype, it was “just The Quiet Place, but with eyes”. In fairness, part of the disappointment may have had to do with the fact that most viewers were probably sitting in a room decked out with Christmas trees and cosy lights and watching the film with their entire families. Not exactly the most terrifying setup for watching a scary movie or a thriller. Every tense, quiet moment is interrupted by somebody doing a Brussels sprout fart or knocking over the tin of Roses.

Anyway, it seems as though Bird Box made quite a mark on Chrissy Teigen, who told Twitter that the movie hurt her “whole heart”.

Well, that seems to have affected Chrissy a tad more than the average viewer.

Phillip Schofield doesn’t have high hopes for Gemma Collins when it comes to Dancing on Ice.

We all know that Phillip Schofield is very kind, from the way that he regularly handles sensitive topics over on This Morning, so even in his criticism of Gemma Collins, it sounds like it’s coming from a good place. Phil said he’s really not sure if Gemma will be able to stick it out, and revealed that he already told her how he feels.

I think the nation is intrigued to see Gemma! Now we know who she is partnered up with, and Matt will be absolutely brilliant with her. I’ve said to Gemma, “If you make the first show, it’ll be a miracle.” She does seem very committed [but] we all know Gemma for being a bit of a quitter. I’m hoping she’ll be there for that first show.

If she does manage to show up, Phillip said “she’ll be actually very good”. To date, Gemma has cried a lot during training. “One million times”, as she has previously said. Despite that, it looks like she’s going to make it. If Gemma Collins can persevere, so can you. (Metro)

Cardi B shared (and then deleted) an Instagram of her Christmas haul from Offset.

As we all know, Offset has been working very hard to win Cardi back. It’s probably a fruitless effort, but he still managed to spend Christmas with her in Puerto Rico this year.

While there, Offset showered Cardi B with some extravagent gifts like a selection of Louboutins, a $15,000 Birkin bag and six designer purses to go inside, with one retailing at just short of $7,000. On top of all of that, he got her some jewellery as well.

Considering the fact that Cardi’s well able to buy all of that stuff herself, we can assume that this isn’t as big a deal to her as it would be to you or I. (Cosmopolitan)

And the rest of the day’s dirt…

  • Ariana Grande is rumoured to be in talks about performing at Manchester Pride in 2019. (Goss)
  • The internet has been loving some old photos of Ian Curtis at his Christmas party in Macclesfield that resurfaced on Facebook (NME)
  • Rita Ora and Andrew Garfield are definitely a thing now, as she was photographed leaving his house this week. (Metro)
  • Jack Black has launched a gaming YouTube. (The Verge)
  • Chris Brown might be looking at jail time for owning a pet monkey (NME)
