IT WAS SOME weekend for Longford GAA.

But there are spectacular views around the county that are just as inspirational as the team’s shock victory over Mongahan:

1. Like the view out over Lough Ree from Saints Island

2. Which looks just as good during the day

3. Look at the view of St Mel’s Cathedral in Longford Town while the sun sets

4. Or the Royal Canal near Keenagh

5. And how it looks running through Cloondara

6. Where it meets the Camlin river

7. The scenery around Barley Harbour on a fine summer’s day

8. Or from on top of Cairn Hill

9. And on the tight road on the way up

10. Are up there with the best in the country

11. All the way up in Dring, Lough Gowna looks class

12. Which is just another spectacular area

13. Like the little Corbeagh Lake in Ballinalee

14. The county is dotted with simply stunning views
