IRISH PRESIDENT MICHAEL D Higgins has a run for his money in the most loveable elder statesman in the Phoenix Park.

This is US ambassador to Ireland Dan Rooney at his Fourth of July party at his residence in the Phoenix Park. (He’s the guy on the right, obviously – that’s 7-year-old Cormac Browne from Kilkenny on the left, enjoying the American hospitality). Just…. aw.
