The mams of Picture This provided the best line during the band's Late Late interview last night
THE LATE LATE Show returned for a new season last night with an interesting selection of guests – from Henry Shefflin to “Ireland’s most expensive lamb”.
But the standout moments came from Athy band Picture This, who were on to talk about their meteoric rise to the top of Irish music in 2017.
And the best part was, their parents were in the audience to see it all unfold
For a band that sells out the 3Arena in three minutes, it was a bit surprising that they both still live at home with the parents.
“We both live at home with the family in Athy… can’t beat the mammy’s cooking in fairness”
RTÉ RTÉ
Tubs said what everyone was thinking though:
“Are you allowed bring friends home… if you know what I’m saying”
RTÉ RTÉ
*awkward silence*
RTÉ RTÉ
So the mams themselves were brought into the discussion. Are they allowed to bring friends home?
“For dinner, yes”
RTÉ RTÉ
Good line.
Ryan Hennessy spoke about how he was a latecomer to music
Not bad going so far.
And they banged out Never Change while they were there too
It’s safe to say they went down well
Whoops!
