Piers Morgan is delighted that his TV show received more complaints than any other this year

Are we surprised?

YESTERDAY, OFCOM RELEASED their figures showing which television shows were the most complained about in 2017.

As you’d probably expect, Piers Morgan managed to top the list with an episode of Good Morning Britain. Alongside two fist emojis, he tweeted a link to the list of the 10 most complained about TV shows of 2017 and wrote “BOOM! No1!”

A regular person would probably accept that appearing twice on that list means you’re not doing your job properly, but anyway…

The episode of Good Morning Britain that got him 1,142 complaints was one that featured an interview with a man called Michael Davidson who was adamant that homosexuality was ‘a sin’ and ‘in some cases reversible’. Was there anybody in the world who benefited from this segment? Apart from Piers Morgan?

The other nine most popular complaints of 2017 were from UK viewers unhappy with a range of things on television from Amanda Holden’s low-cut dress on Britain’s Got Talent to violence in Coronation Street and the alleged bullying of Iain Lee on I’m a Celeb.
