Pippa Middleton has apparently 'banned' Vogue Williams from attending her wedding... it's The Dredge

All the best of the day’s celebrity filth.

EVERY WEEKDAY MORNING, DailyEdge.ie rounds up the best of the day’s celebrity dirt from the top to the very bottom.

As we outlined last week, our own Vogue Williams is currently dating Made in Chelsea’s Spencer Matthews. Spenogue, the papers are calling them.

Spencer Matthews’ older brother James is engaged to Pippa Middleton and tabloids are reporting today that Pippa has “banned” Vogue from attending her wedding.

There are a few reasons for this:

  • Pippa Middleton has apparently instituted a “no ring no bring” policy meaning guests aren’t permitted to bring plus ones unless they’re engaged or married.
  • Additionally, she “doesn’t want to be outshone by any TV babes on her big day”. You know, like Vogue Williams. Right. (The Sun)

For her part, Vogue doesn’t even want to go. A so-called insider told The Sun that she’s actually busy that day, thank you very much.

Vogue is working on the day of the wedding – a job that has been booked in for ages – so she won’t be attending regardless.

Jennifer Zamparelli has spoken out about the lack of female voices on Irish radio. The Breakfast Republic host was speaking to the Irish Independent when she said that other stations needed to “get their act together” when it comes to putting women on air.

We’re very happy that 2FM is a voice for female presenters because in other stations you don’t hear a lot of females on air, so 2FM is the only station that has a female on nearly every time slot. It’s important to have balance. So, other stations need to get their act together

Zamparelli is correct in her assertion that 2fm is a voice for female presenters. The show is home to female voices like Jenny Greene, Tracy Clifford, Louise McSharry, Ciara King, Lottie Ryan and Blathnaid Treacy, putting it head and shoulders above some of its competitors.

So now. (Irish Independent)

And here’s a headline that needs no further explanation.

Sir Michael Caine is a guest on tonight’s episode of The Graham Norton Show and explains how his Cockney accent led to people assuming he was a drug dealer.

I was at a party in the Philippines and the hostess was looking at me rather nastily and finally she beckoned me over and said, “Are you a drug dealer?”
When I said, “No, why do you ask?” she said, “Why is everyone calling you My Cocaine?” You know that story is true because you couldn’t make it up.”

Admit it. You just said “My Cocaine” to yourself. (Daily Mail)

And the rest of the day’s dirt…

  • Harry Styles has an American accent now. (Twitter)
  • Here’s Niall Horan was stroking a woman’s hair on a rollercoaster. (The Sun)
  • Please enjoy this photo of the Big Little Lies cast on their last day of filming. (Buzzfeed)
  • Legendary insult comedian Don Rickles has died. He was 90 years old. (3AM)
  • U2 are credited on Kendrick Lamar‘s next album. *thinking face emoji* (The Fader)
