“HAVE YOU BEEN swept up by the latest craze in mobile gaming? Are you also an avid sesh-head? Then look no further.”
That is the intro to the craic-based Galway Pokémon Go event that’s blown up on Facebook this week.
Over 1000 people have said they attending, with another 2000 expressing interest
The goals are simple, according to the page:
Meet your fellow trainers at sparch; Galway’s biggest Seshémon gym, then set out on an epic adventure to find these odd little creatures that inhabit Galway.
But is it legit? Well…
The event was created by The Galway Sesh Facebook page, who told DailyEdge.ie:
It’s as real as people want it to be. We’re taking the piss out of sesh culture, but if people want to go out and have the craic then they should by all means. Just responsibly etc.
So it seems like a Pokémon gathering of some kind will be taking place.
Galway, you’ve done it again
