Happy Ed Balls Day everybody!

Yes, today marks four years since the MP mistook the ‘tweet’ box for the ‘search’ box. What a day it was.

Poor old Ed isn’t the only politician to make a ‘balls’ of Twitter though (sorry).

Behold:

1. Éamon Ó Cuív

Come on Éamon mate. You can do it.

2. David Cameron

One of the greatest Twitter memes of all time began when David Cameron tweeted a picture of himself looking exceptionally busy and important on the phone to Barack Obama.

It didn’t take long for the great and good of Twitter to take the piss.

3. David Cameron (again)

Ah Dave, what did children ever do to you?

4. James Reilly

This baffling yet poetic ode to the world of wrestling has never been deleted. #blessed

5. Sean Kenny

We still don’t know if Eoin ever did collect the eggs. The great mystery of our times.

6. Fidelma Healy Eames

On Mother’s Day this year, the senator sent out this baffling tweet:

Not only is Mother’s Day NOT banned in any US state, her #PCGoneMad hashtag was gleefully appropriated.

7. Fidelma Healy Eames (again)

18 January 2015 will be known from now on in Ireland as #SexualOrientation Day.

8. George Osborne

Back in June 2013 the Chancellor tweeted a picture of himself working hard in the office, tucking into a burger, just like you and me.

Problem was, his burger was from a swanky chain, rather than a local takeaway. It was probably made of truffles and coated in gold dust. The louser.
