A Dublin radio station trolled Facebook with a fake photo of 'demolished' Poolbeg chimneys
THERE ARE WIDESPREAD fears that Dublin’s iconic Poolbeg chimneys could be demolished, after the ESB suggested that necessary repairs would not be cost-effective.
And last night, 98FM DJs Adrian Kennedy and Jeremy Dixon posted this to their Facebook page, writing:

The reaction was swift and immediate.
The photo was shared scores of times and liked by hundreds, as users left comments describing their disappointment:
And then, as readers copped on, the disappointment turned to anger.
Eventually, Kennedy and Dixon posted a not-at-all-apologetic clarification.
