THE PAPAL VISIT has been somewhat of a whirlwind.
Since Pope Francis landed in Ireland yesterday – that’s Ireland, not England, Sky News – he’s been flat out.
We’ve had a bit of gardening.
We’ve had a bit of Pope-Mobiling.
And we’ve had much, much merriment.
But the highlight of the last 24 hours?
Well, without question, it was the moment Alison Nevin grabbed an opportunity with both hands and reminded us that no one is above tweaking their Insta game, and that includes the head of the Catholic Church.
To the sound of rapturous applause in Croke Park last night, Pope Francis posed for a selfie, and looked only too delighted to have been given the chance.
