The Burning Question*: Do you preheat the oven?

It’s Monday, so let TheJournal.ie distract you from the ‘serious’ news with one of life’s REAL dilemmas. (*not really)

WE KNOW HOW you feel. It’s Monday, you have the whole week looming ahead, and you have a lot on your plate.

So do like we do here in TheJournal.ie HQ and get stuck into a serious debate on one of life’s most pressing issues.

Possibly.

This week: Now we know the Great British/Irish Bake-Off fans among you will be all about the preheated ovens. Some folks, however, believe that preheating an oven is a waste of money and energy.

Which side of the divide do you like to cook? Are you on the side of one TheJournal.ie staffer who can’t BELIEVE that people don’t always preheat for at least 10 minutes, or are you on the side of another team member’s girlfriend who “can’t be doing” with all that preheating?

Vote here: Do you believe in preheating the oven?

Poll Results:

B - Only for baking (it's science, innit?) (4402)
A - Yes, for everything. (2547)
C - No, what a waste of good heat. (1744)
D - Can't we all just get along? (883)
