THE PROGRAMME FOR this year’s Dublin Theatre Festival has been announced. The festival runs from 30 September until 17 October, and will have a special focus on Polish theatre.
One of the Polish plays being showcased at the festival is The Danton Case, winner of 25 drama awards around the world. The play is an adaptation of a renowned Polish play set during the French Revolution.
Irish theatre will be well-represented in the festival. Tony award-winning director Garry Hynes will direct Sean O’Casey’s The Silver Tassie, and two Beckett plays will make appearances in the festival.
Theatres across Dublin will host the festival.
