This month Penneys will finally launch in the US (under the international brand name Primark) and last night there was a glam dinner in New York with a bunch of fashion movers and shakers.

Ratajkowskitold WWD that she’s well used to Penney’s stuff, as she spends a lot of time in Ireland (both of her grandmothers were Irish and her family has had a home in Bantry for 20 years).
I’m actually going to Ireland to see my parents [next week], so I’m skipping half of fashion week. Obviously it’s cool that this brand I knew in Dublin is opening a store here, that’s really exciting to me.

The first US Primark store opens in Boston on 10 September.
It’s safe to say excitement is up to ninety, with massive crowds expected for the shop’s debut.
