HOLLYWOOD BOULEVARD WILL be all tarted up this evening for the annual backslapping film feast but these behind-the-scenes shots show that in LA, the glam is never very far from the gritty.
How very Pretty Woman.
Here’s the proof:
Red carpet is not glam when it’s left lying around like a sausage roll
The Oscars red carpet – a byword for glamour, eh? Not so much when it was snapped in giant plastic bags earlier this week.
Johnny Depp will be looking a bit rough
To the right of the carpet, out of shot of E! cameras but in eyesight of the celebs, there is a Forever 21 clothing store and Jack Sparrow lookalike.
The air will be scented by pizza slices
This is what they’ll see to the left of the carpet: A pizzeria, tattoo parlour and Harley Davidson shop. It’s no Rodeo Drive.
The sky will be made of plastic
Don’t look up, Anne Hathaway. The tarpaulin might distract you from practising your Best Supporting Actress *surprise* face.
On the other hand…
They do have an amazing giant curtain made of 24-carat gold*.
(*Maybe.)
And if we’re honest, we want to be hanging out on the fan bleachers tonight so we can catch moments like this. What did Milla Jovovich say to Jessica Chastain on last year’s red carpet?
