2016 HAS SEEN a flood of bars pop up around Dublin – and a new place that’s opened its doors in Stoneybatter has a fairly unique claim to fame.
It’s called The Barbers and it’s half pub/half barbers.
They live up to the name with an actual functioning barbers’ chair just off the main bar
The pub is located two minutes from Smithfield Square – between Stoneybatter and Smithfield.
And they’ve really gone all out with the theme
The owner tells DailyEdge.ie that the barbershop section will be up and running soon:
We hope to start cutting hair this Sunday from 4-11pm.
And after a trial night last week – where Mundy and Paddy Casey arrived in to get their hair cut – the place is open fully from tonight onwards
And it looks to have an old school style to it – befitting a real barbershop
You’re reminded of the theme throughout – from the blue, white and red awning out front to the table decor
They’re doing deals like “dry cut with a hot towel shave and a pint of Guinness”
An interesting prospect.
