Casting director Louise Kiely did advise hopefuls to get down early as only 500 will be seen in Dublin today, with 300 more auditioned at sessions in Cork, Galway, Limerick and Belfast over the coming weeks.
Not a whole lot is known about the new soap yet, only that it will be set in a North side Dublin coastal town.
