Reebok have created an infographic to help Donald Trump avoid offending women
LAST WEEK WE were all watching Donald Trump’s awkward celebration of Bastille Day in Paris.
Whether it was his embarrassing inability to loosen up during a Daft Punk medley or the 25-second-long handshake he said goodbye to Macron with, there was very little normal behaviour from the US president on his visit to France.
The worst of this behaviour was his comment to the First Lady of France. He remarked “You’re in such good shape!” before turning to her husband Emmanuel Macron. “She’s in such good physical shape. Beautiful!”
Whoops!
We couldn't find this Tweet
This sounds more like a man examining a piece of fruit before purchasing it than somebody meeting the First Lady of one of the most powerful countries in the world, but that’s pretty standard with Trump.
Reebok hit back on Twitter with a handy little guide that anyone can use.
Take note: don’t make weird comments to women alone in elevators, spouses of heads of state, potential mother-in-laws, women in lines to order coffees, women working out at the gym or anyone else.
The only time that it is acceptable to say “You’re in such good shape… beautiful!” is to forgotten action figures from your youth in your parents basement.
In other words, you’re free to talk like this to anything that’s not human.
