Remember this? The first snow days of November 2010

As we look out the window of our Dublin HQ on this dark, windy evening, TheJournal.ie staff is reminiscing about last year’s Snovember.

LAST YEAR’S SNOW falls created havoc on the roads and caused hardship for many people across the country.

BUT, when those first flakes starting floating from the sky this time last year, we were all pretty excited. Snowmen (and snow octopus) were built, taboggans were hastily made and snowball fights ensued.

Plus, some beautiful photographs were taken. Here is a sample of images from the last weekend of November in 2010, including some of our readers’ own snaps:

It was from a few days later - but we just had to include it again. It's our favourite Sneachta-pus. Built lovingly by Paul Bloof and Sara Murphy in Dublin.
