Her earliest makeup memories

“My earliest memory of makeup is when I would visit my Grandmothers house in Roscommon and I would go straight to her dressing table and get her powder compact which I would then put all over my face and add her red lipstick for good measure.

“I would emerge from the bedroom thinking I looked fabulous as all 10 year olds old do and all my uncles would have a great laugh at the state of me. I still loved that makeup and thought it was so fancy. ”

Her makeup bag and what’s inside

“I love a natural makeup look for day time – these products take me literally five mins to apply. I feel when you get to a certain age you can’t get away with a heavy makeup look as you run the risk of looking a bit drag queenish. So with the school run and a business to run, I am always on the o so makeup needs to be quick, look natural and show off my good skin as I am not trying to hide anything.

“I love mineral makeup. For me you can’t beat good skin and BareMinerals compliments it perfectly. No oil, no chemicals and unnecessary additives so great all around for the skin. I find it sits really nicely on my skin so that I don’t feel like I am wearing makeup. Because I am so pale (Irish redhead) the BareMinerals bronzer gives me a lovely glow without looking orange.

“I love lipstick – this shade is ‘Pillow Talk’ by Charlotte Tilbury which is a great pinky shade, again, for my colouring  and as a summer shade.

“I love Gimme Brow by Benefit for a daytime look – it’s really easy to use and looks very natural.

YSL mascara gives a great look of length to the eye lashes and I love that it is not thick and gloopy.”
