You have to download an app to listen to Rihanna’s new song and nobody's happy

And it’s not even the full song. This is a FARCE.

WELL, THIS IS one way to annoy all your fans and send the internet into a meltdown.

In the early hours of this morning, Rihanna put up a link to a preview of her new single #BBHMM.

The only problem was that you had to download the messaging app Dubsmash to access it. People were none too pleased

Most people would prefer if it was a more traditional release

Another problem reared its head when people realised that it’s not even the full song – but preview snippets of what is to come this week when the single is fully released

If the U2 debacle with iTunes taught us anything, it’s that people do not like things being forced on them – even when they are free.

Still, she will undoubtedly survive this minor PR setback – and maybe not use an app next time she puts something out there.
