Here's everything we know about the upcoming Rihanna documentary
RIHANNA IS PROMISING to give us an “unfiltered look” into her life and career in an upcoming documentary.
Right, what’s it called?
Eh, so it doesn’t have a name yet – BUT it has already been filmed. The doc was shot throughout 2016 when Rihanna was working on her last album, ‘Anti’.
And who’s directing it?
Peter Berg is at the helm of the project. He previously directed Hancock, that questionable superhero movie starring Will Smith and Charlize Theron. He’s also acted as a writer on the long-running sports-drama series Friday Night Lights. He previously cast Rihanna in the 2012 flick, Battleship (but the less said about that, the better.)
On Rihanna, Berg said:
What’s it going to be like, then? Are we talking ‘Katy Perry: Piece Of Me-esque’ or what?
Berg has previously described it as “much more a character study than a musical film”, citing 1967’s acclaimed Bob Dylan documentary ‘Don’t Look Back’ as a major influence.

Right, when the bloody hell can we watch it?
There’s still no release date attached to the project. However, Berg said the project should be finished as soon as “a month and a half, two months” from now. Vague enough, TBH.
