YESTERDAY, DAILY MAIL columnist Liz Jones wrote about Rihanna. And it wasn’t very complimentary.
Calling the singer as a “poisonous pop princess”, Jones explained that the message Rihanna is sending “through her explicit lyrics, vile dance moves and pictures on Twitter” was “utterly toxic.”
She added:
I wish she’d stop infecting our High Streets with her gun tattoos, her false nails and fake hair, her bogus bad-ass shenanigans.
Well, Rihanna must read the Daily Mail. She swiftly posted this not-very-flattering photo of Jones on Instagram. And added some highly personal commentary.
Some choice extracts:
My money got a bad habit of pissing people off.
Here’s a toxic tip: don’t be amateur with your articles, you sound bitter!
That shit ain’t journalism! That’s a sad sloppy menopausal mess.

Ouch.
(The Daily Mail has since called the singer’s comeback “astonishing”.)
