To no one’s surprise, she also ran away with the Best Dressed prize at this year’s avant-garde themed bash, turning up in a sculptural Comme des Garcons number.
The dress went into the CdG exhibition at the Met museum’s Costume Institute right after she wore it. And that is how you do it.

Rihanna was one of the few praised for actually sticking to the theme, when most of the other celebrity guests seemed to just wear whatever they wanted.
And she seems to know she had little competition – the singer Instagrammed a collage of all the headlines announcing her Best Dressed status, accompanied by the caption “casual”:
She also had a little dig at the many, many famous attendees who failed to follow the avant-garde theme – by liking this meme.
If Rihanna can’t guilt everybody into playing along at next year’s gala, who can?
