Rihanna video filmed in Co. Down field nominated for MTV awards
A VIDEO WHICH caused controversy when it was filmed in a field in Co. Down last year has been nominated for top awards at MTV’s international video music awards.
The video for Rihanna’s song We Found Love was filmed in a corn field belonging to DUP councillor Alan Graham, who had been approached the previous week and asked if the field could be used.
However, he said that when he saw the outfits Rihanna had on, he demanded that her inappropriate attire be replaced. She filmed some of the scenes for the video topless.

Graham has since seen the finished video and said that he wasn’t particularly shocked by its content, but didn’t particularly approve either.
The video for We Found Love is nominated in both the ‘Video of the Year’ category, the ‘Best Female Video’ slot and the ‘Best Pop Video’ category for this year’s MTV VMAs.
Katy Perry, Gotye and MIA all join Rihanna in the best video contest, along with her own collaboration with the artist Drake.
Carly Rae Jepsen, Beyoncé, One Direction, Coldplay, Skrillex and Adele all make it into various categories for the awards, which will be held in Los Angeles in September.
