Conor McGregor shouted 'what's up Rita Ora?' to a crowd of people in a London nightclub... it's The Dredge

All the celeb dirt that’s fit to rake.

EVERY WEEKDAY MORNING, DailyEdge.ie rounds up the best of the day’s celebrity dirt from the top to the very bottom.

Following on from her ~controversial~ photos and captioning work with Conor McGregor the other night, Rita Ora has apparently quelled all rumours by making herself and musician Andrew Watt Instagram official.

What a rollercoaster of a week.

The long-rumoured romance seems to be confirmed publicly by the post, and The Sun has revealed that Watt was with Rita on the night of the Fashion Awards, thanks to a “source”:

Andrew attended the Fashion Awards with Rita and was close by when she posed for pictures with Conor.
Andrew didn’t mind holding her handbag while she took the snaps, and didn’t seem fazed by their interaction at all.
He enjoyed the evening and chatting to the other guests as he sat next to his girlfriend, before they left together.

That’s that then?

Well, no.

Conor McGregor was out in London’s Cirque Le Soir nightclub last night where he was filmed on the microphone shouting “what’s up Rita Ora?”

WHAT DOES THAT EVEN MEAN.

On the one hand, Rita Ora appears to be trying to calm the controversy down while McGregor is casually throwing fuel on the fire.

Wild.

Thandie Newton has hit out at people who say “you look good… for your age” as a compliment.

Speaking to Refinery29, Thandie acknowledges that people might mean well, but it’s unfair:

For women over 30, there’s the addition of children and the stress of holding down a job, and most people don’t have help. They grit the teeth with their mother-in-law, support their husband, and deal with misogyny. That’s a lot of stuff. It’s not, ‘You look good for your age.’ It’s, ‘You look good for a renaissance woman holding down all those things and still managing to have a glow about you.’
It’s not about the age, it’s about the pressures and stresses of being a woman. Once we realize our stressors, we’re going to seek to change those things and force society to recognize that being a mother is one of the most challenging jobs in the world. If it was paid, we’d be respected more. We should take a step back and see why people are amazed that an older woman looks good. It’s because they know how much we do. It’s not ‘for your age.’ It’s for being a frickin’ goddess despite all of that.

She also spoke about why embracing her natural hair is important:

And you know something else? I just love how women of color share with each other while doing each others’ hair. There’s this bonding and closeness that comes as a result. The conversations that happen when your back is getting hot between another woman’s thighs. These rituals allow us to get rid of the stressors that I was talking about before. I love doing my girls’ hair. It’s 45 minutes where we’re together and talking.

Another one of Ryan Reynolds’ razor sharp tweets has taken over the internet.

They’re so good you’d think they’re being written by a professional comedian.

Following the news that Walt Disney could be merging with 21st Century Fox, he tweeted:

Nice.

And this is what happened when there’s a tattoo booth at Comic Con Brazil yesterday:
