IT LOOKS LIKE River Island have drawn inspiration from one of your darkest and most depraved hangovers.
Somehow, they’ve seen you traipsing around your home in the dark wrapped up in a duvet waiting on the delivery man from Domino’s, and they’ve decided to recreate that look as a €242 jacket.
Because of the price, few people are going to be running out to buy one, but there’s no denying that they look extremely cosy.
Maybe you could split the cost between a few mates, because it looks like it would fit more than one person. They’ve also got it in pink.
From the side it looks like any innocent old pink puffer jacket.
However, from the back it genuinely looks like what your parents see when you come down to the kitchen and pour out a bowl of cereal after a serious night on the jars.
If you really love the concept, but aren’t in a position to drop €242 on a duvet jacket hybrid, all is not lost. IKEA’s PS 2017 line contains something similar for €35.
Not something you’d necessarily dare to wear beyond the threshold of your front door (unless you had to bring something out to the bin), but still looks pretty cosy. It also comes in white if you’re picky about what colour sleeping bag you’d like to wear around the house.
