Ireland's Minister for Sport got the Kearney brothers mixed up, and everybody feels embarrassed
LORD HELP US, there are few things more awkward than calling somebody by the wrong name.
Unless, that is, you’re Minister Shane Ross, and you do it on Twitter where you and the injured party’s followers amount to more than 400,000.

Nice one.
In the wake of Ireland’s Grand Slam win in Twickenham on Saturday, the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport grabbed a photo opp in the Shelbourne Hotel with Johnny Sexton and Rob Kearney.
And then proceeded to call Rob by his brother’s name.

And we’re cringing.
Responding to the post, Rob replied: “You’re welcome, Leo.”
And we’re somewhat less mortified all of a sudden.
Acknowledging the gaffe, Minister Ross tweaked his caption, and sent his congratulations again.
Now, let us never speak of this again.
