NORM MACDONALD IS a veteran standup comedian, best known for several years at the forefront of Saturday Night Live.

But once upon a time, he was just a frightened youngster trying to make his name with a make-or-break appearance on Letterman – following superstar Robin Williams.

Like many of us, MacDonald has been mourning Williams today. He shared this wonderful story on Twitter.

What more is there to say? RIP Robin Williams.
