THE NEW SERIES of Robot Wars returned to BBC Two last Sunday night with Dara Ó Briain and Angela Scanlon still at the helm.
Last night’s episode was a little different though – as the biggest moment of drama happened outside of the battles themselves.
The Behemoth team decided to try out a new weapon in their fight against the youthful Team Cherub, and there was no decisive winner – so it had to go to a judges’ decision. Angela Scanlon announced Cherub as the winners with both teams on either side of her.
And the captain of Behemoth *really* didn’t take the loss well

Absolutely bulling
He subsequently explained that the reason he walked out was the team’s decision to use a new weapon in that specific battle:
The reason I walked out there was because I was so annoyed at the team for making that decision not to go with a guaranteed win. Sometimes it’s best for you to go with what you know works.
No matter the reason, he instantly became a meme on Twitter
The drama of it all
The clip hit the front page of Reddit as well as blowing up on Twitter.
Obviously the walking out was compounded by the fact that the opponents were kids and literally the nicest people ever
While Angela played it diplomatically on Twitter
“Tensions run high”
Great telly.
