EVERY WEEKDAY MORNING, DailyEdge.ie rounds up the best of the day’s celebrity dirt from the top to the very bottom.
Ronan Keating was mortified on UK telly by Michael McIntyre. McIntyre’s Big Show involves a ‘Send To All’ section, where the comedian takes a celebrity’s phone and sends a message to all their contacts. He sent this from Ronan’s burner:
He got replies from James Blunt (“You are the king”), Russell Crowe (“Someone’s got your phone mate”), and his own brother (“No”). But more importantly, he looked absolutely scarlet throughout.
Kanye West did possibly the funniest thing Kanye West has ever done. In disturbing evidence that he has a sense of humour, this footage emerged from his friend Dave Grutman’s wedding… of Kanye seizing the mic and dropping a little intervention:
Mariah Carey was a glorious diva on stage in Amsterdam. She stopped the concert mid-set to complain that the on-stage fans weren’t blowing air in the way she had specified, asking (rhetorically we guess) “Why are there so many things that I must do myself?”
In full, her reported words were:
Urgh, the fans, I just want to fix them. It’s just never how I want it. Don’t you think that if I want the fans to blow air appropriately then that’s what we need to have? Why are there so many things that I must do myself around here?
Never change.
Also, Gerry Ryan’s daughter Bonnie Ryan launched her new single. With a video filmed in Lillies Bordello, no less.
