Ronan Keating's kids gave him this brilliant home-made present... The Dredge

All the very best of the day’s celebrity dirt.

EVERY WEEKDAY MORNING, DailyEdge.ie rounds up the best of the day’s celebrity dirt – from the top to the very bottom.

Ronan Keating’s children gave him a perfect home-made Christmas present. Youngsters Jack, Marie and Ali decided to get creative with a gift for their da and partner Storm Uechtritz, so they handed over this edited version of a Selection Box:

Meanwhile Ronan and Storm headed off to a ski resort for the New Year, before taking this rather embarrassing selfie:

Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen rang in the New Year together. Obviously.  Because that’s what friends are for.

Here’s a video, too.

Shia LaBeouf has sent a skywriting apology to cartoonist Daniel Clowes. LaBeouf – who previously apologised on Twitter for using Clowes’ work without credit – upped his game by literally writing a message in the clouds:

However, judging by LaBeouf’s other tweets, it seems he may be playing a complicated game. Is he mocking us? Is he mocking Clowes? Is this man really fit to be Indiana Jones Jr?

Leonardo DiCaprio is difficult to get excited. Actress Tracie Jayne, who had to give Leo a lap dance as a stripper while filming The Wolf Of Wall Street, has explained that – try as she might – she just couldn’t float his boat. She said:

Maybe he was wearing Spanx or he taped it down or … thought about his dead grandmother.
