FORGET LOVE/HATE, forget Charlie, last night Room to Improve became the nation’s Sunday night fear accompaniment.
And boy oh boy were you gunning for it.
Avril and Andrew Wilson-Rankin had bought a disused commercial building in Dun Laoghaire, and were planning on turning it into their dream home.
At the start of the show they were living in a.. er… cosy space in a shed at the bottom of Andrew’s parent’s garden. So understandably they were eager to get a space of their own after managing to save €90k.
They dropped €105k on the property in total, and then called in architect Dermot Bannon to attempt to turn this into a home.
