Here's why last night's Room to Improve outraged the entire nation... over a bathroom

The introduction of a Feng Shui expert was the final straw.

ANOTHER SUNDAY NIGHT, another outrageous edition of home renovations on RTÉ’s Room to Improve.

This week, superstar architect Dermot Bannon had a difficult mission on his hands in Meath.

Meet the Harrolds – who have moved 17 times in the last 22 years

The ages of the family range from 6 to 95 years old – as the Harrolds have 4 kids and their grandmother lives with them as well

First up, Dermot asks them what exactly they are looking for. “A rake of bedrooms” is the concise response

Marrita is also a fan of Feng Shui – and this will be key to the project. The Harrolds also need a library and the house needs to go from three bedrooms to six on a budget of €250,000.

First shock of the project – the couple want a gym room added to their bedroom

The decision to only have one bathroom in a house for seven people caused much consternation

The introduction of a Feng Shui expert sent the nation into a frenzy

And the couple decided to lose a toilet because it didn’t fit in with the alignment of the house – and it backed on to the kitchen

Dermot clearly wasn’t keen on the Feng Shui, but he kept his cool. As always

The fact that the couple move so much means that the Feng Shui business must be booming

The Harrold’s granny became the hero of the hour – with her old bed

All in all, the project was completed – but there were so many controversies

What’s in store for next week? We wait with anticipation #prayforDermot.
