CHRISTMAS TRULY CAME early for nine-year-old Charlie Smyth this evening when he met his hero Rory McIlroy on the Toy Show.

He was showcasing a golfing game, waxing lyrical about McIlroy’s achievements, joking about getting a lend of money from him when all of a sudden…

Charlie got to ask some questions, tell Rory about some of his own achievements, and even got some tickets for him and his whole family at the Irish Open 2017.
