Regardless of whether you have been tuned in or not, there’s a good chance that you might have heard about an incident that occurred between Emmerdale actress Roxanne Pallett and Corrie actor Ryan Thomas.
Women’s Aid made a public statement following the incident, in which Roxanne expressed upset over Ryan Thomas’ play-fighting. Pallett called the actor a ‘woman-beater’, before going to the bedroom and saying “I’ve been beaten up by Corrie’s Jason Grimshaw.”

You can read the full statement here. All of this went down in the Big Brother house on Wednesday.
This morning, Big Brother made an announcement on Twitter, informing viewers that Roxanne had decided to leave the Big Brother house.
Last night, Ben Jardine, who had taken Roxanne’s side in the argument, was evicted from the Big Brother house. When he was shown the footage of the incident between Roxanne and Ryan, he said he felt “duped”.
Roxanne’s Twitter account was deleted shortly after it was announced she was leaving the Big Brother house. She eventually made a statement to The Sun through a spokesperson, who said:
When Roxanne was considering leaving the house over the last few days, Jermaine Pennant remarked that “The thing is, if you leave you don’t get your fee.” Metro.co.uk reached out to Channel 5 to find out if Roxanne would be paid for her time on the show, but Channel 5 declined to comment.
Ahead of this incident, it had been rumoured that Roxanne was one of the most expensive housemates on Big Brother this year, with a fee of £750,000.
Ryan Thomas’ girlfriend Lucy Mecklenburgh responded to the news by sharing an Instagram photo that said “Karma“.
