RTE won't confirm Love/Hate 'back in three weeks'

Reports today suggest that the series could be hitting screens as early October.

AN RTE SPOKESPERSON has refused to confirm or deny reports that popular gang-land drama Love/Hate is to have a surprise return next month.

A report in the Irish Independent this morning connected a source to leaking an October 6 début for the series, which usually airs through November and December.

A spokesperson for the series said they were unable to comment on the stories, nor a now-deleted tweet which was posted to the RTE 2fm Twitter account this morning, linking to a report:

@RTE2fm: Love/Hate is going to be back on your screens earlier than you expect bit.ly/1e8UOCt

The Irish Independent claim that the cast and crew were warned to keep the official air date from the public as to not spoil the surprise comeback.

The fourth season is set to pick up from the shock death of one of the main characters during the series 3 finale, and to focus largely on the authorities attempts to bring Nidge and the other gangland criminals to justice.
