RUSSELL CROWE IS getting divorced from Australian singer Danielle Spencer and he’s decided to mark the event in a slightly unorthodox way. The couple separated in 2012 but the divorce is only coming through now hence this new endeavor.
The auction which is called ‘The Art of Divorce’ is being held on April 7th in Sydney and contains 227 different lots which includes memorabilia and props from Crowe’s movies.
According to Crowe the whole process has taken about 12 months and his soon-to-be ex wife Danielle found the whole thing funny and contributed some items to the auction too.
So what sort of stuff do the couple have on sale?
1. This charming purple suit from Virtuosity
2. Some of his costume parts from Gladiator
3. TWO life size horse props
4. With a chariot to match
5. How about the prop used to protect his bits in Cinderella Man?
6. Or for a measly $35,000 his entire costume from Master & Commander?
7. A motorbike from 1917
8. This very creepy plaster cast of Muhammad Ali
9. A $40,000 Chanel watch
If you’re interested or can actually afford any of the above items then you can place a bid online. The full catalogue of stuff is here and it’s estimated to fetch over $1 million at auction.
Weirdly Russell says he doesn’t know what he’s going to do with the money from this auction bar look after his pets.
I know I’m going to buy some incubators for turtles for a project that’s going on in Queensland. But apart from I haven’t really thought about that, you know? But money is useful, money is fun.
