WE ALL KNOW Russell Crowe is a rugby league fan.

On Saturday he gave an Irish reporter a really uncomfortable lesson in the difference between rugby league and rugby union on the Dublin red carpet of his new film Noah.

Now he’s revealed his Irish rugby union allegiances, dismissing a suggestion on Twitter that he might be a Leinster man…

Leinster’s Jamie Heaslip was ready to swoop in with a burn of his own…

Someone get Crowe a Munster jersey and a gum shield. We want to see this played out where it belongs… on the pitch.
