Everything you need to know about new Netflix show Russian Doll, according to the women who've watched
This article about Russian Doll is spoiler free – promise!
ANOTHER DAY, ANOTHER Netflix show making waves on social media – this time, it’s the Natasha Lyonne-led Russian Doll.
Ok, what’s it about?
Emmy-nominated actress Natasha Lyonne (who you’ll know from Orange Is The New Black), stars as Nadia, a young woman who is on a journey to be the guest of honor at a party in New York City.
But she gets caught in a mysterious loop as she repeatedly attends the same event and dies at the end of the night each time – only to awaken the next day unharmed as if nothing had happened. In summary, it’s like Happy Death Day, but good. Very good. And not scary. (Although you may argue that the latter wasn’t scary either.) I digress …
It comes from a team of very competent women, including Leslye Headland and Lyonne herself.
Who else is in it?
Yul Vazquez, star of Bad Boys II and Narcos: Mexico, plays Nadia’s ex boyfriend.

Elizabeth Ashley plays Ruth, a family friend of Nadia’s. You might remember her as Ethel from last year’s heist romp Ocean’s 8.

What’s the people’s verdict?
Here are some hot takes from the women of DailyEdge.ie and TheJournal.ie:
So, there you go. On Twitter, Irish Twitter sounded off on everything from the soundtrack to, eh, Lyonne’s knack for smoking.
Whoops!

Sorry, is that Lyonne’s real hair?

Yep, it’s all hers, all they did go through a laborious colouring and styling process for the series to give Nadia her signature look.
