LAST NIGHT, ED Sheeran made an appearance on the Late Late Show.

He reiterated his fondness for Ireland to Ryan, based on his frequent visits here as a child.

I am in love with the country and the culture and the people and I just really, really like it. I don’t even feel like coming on and doing chat shows and stuff is even work. It just feels like you’re hanging out, like you’re just here for a chat.

Ryan reminded Ed of his Toy Show appearance three years ago.

Who could forget the moment he surprised 11-year-old Aimee Keogh?

Ryan Tubridy said that for about a year after the Toy Show, people were stopping him on the street saying “Isn’t that Ed Sheeran a lovely fella? Wasn’t he lovely now, in fairness to him?” Ed said that this is still the main thing that Irish people say to him.

Ryan asked if Ed recalled how lovely the moment he met Aimee was, and Ed replied “I do, and I know what you’re going to do because I just said hi to her. I know she’s here.”

Ryan then played the video of their previous meeting to remind the audience.

Ryan then introduced Aimee, who is now 14-years-old.

Ed couldn’t get over how much she had grown up in three years. Ryan began to chat with her:

Aimee, that moment was glorious for us to watch. What was it like being there? And being you at the time?

She explained:

It was like honestly one of the most unbelievable experiences any teenager could have – well, I was like eleven at the time. I’ll never be able to put into words how thankful I am to everyone for making my dreams come true.

As pleasant as she was three years ago.
