REMEMBER THIS CHRISTMAS tree in the US town of Reading, Pennsylvania?
Residents there were so disappointed in it that they campaigned to have it removed and replace with something a little more festive.
That’s hardly the Christmas spirit, is it?
So, despite initially deciding to take the tree down and replace it with a better one, loval officials have instead elected to leave the poor old thing where it is, and light it with a single red bulb.
The red bulb is a reference to the beloved US Christmas Peanuts holiday tale, in which Charlie Brown decorates his scrawny tree with just one bauble in protest over the commercialism of Christmas.
The city has issued a statement saying the 50-foot Norwegian pine will receive its one ornament during a rededication ceremony next week.
