LAST WEEK, SAINSBURY’S came under fire for advertising for an artist to voluntarity paint their new staff canteen.
The branch in Camden, London, offered an artist the chance to be “recognised” and develop their reputation in exchange for their work.
But it’s OK, they’re not looking for any prior experience.
“No qualifications or experience is required as we are simply intrigued and excited about the uniqueness you can offer us”.
People weren’t delighted, and Sainsbury’s have since apologised for the “error of judgement”.
Teri Anne Scoble posted the most perfect of all comebacks.
It begins:
Artists are looking for a well-stocked supermarket to voluntarily restock our kitchens. Gain particular experience in the good industry whilst satisfying our need to feed ourselves and live comfortably.
We seek to find a diverse supermarket, so we encourage suppliers of food fro all ethnic cuisines to apply.
