The star of Jurassic Park and Hunt For The Wilderpeople recently started tweeting as @TwoPaddocks, the name of his New Zealand winery – and his account is an absolute delight.

Sam tweets lots of updates from his farm in NZ

In this video he massages one of his pigs with his foot while drinking a glass of wine. Standard.

Including lots of pictures of his animals, which are all named after his co-stars and famous friends

Here are Helena Bonham-Carter and Laura Dern, named for his co-stars in Sweet Revenge and Jurassic Park, respectively. Laura has been known to tweet Sam about her namesake:

He also has bulls called James Nesbitt and Graham Norton, and pigs named after British actress Imogen Poots and Kiwi director Taika Waititi.

He answers pressing fan questions

We’ve always wondered. Might ask him if he’s ever forgiven Phil Tippett.

And tells wonderfully odd dad jokes

Amazing.

No one but Sam Neill should be allowed use Twitter. He’s the only one using it for the proper reason: Maximum joy. <3 you, Dr Alan Grant.
